A female passenger has died, while eight others sustained various degrees of injuries in a road crash at Matsekorpe Junction on the Sege-Kasseh stretch of the Tema-Aflao Highway.
The accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and involved two Opel Astra taxis and a Toyota Corolla.
According to eyewitnesses, the Toyota Corolla, with registration number GN 5838-20, was overtaking another vehicle when it collided with an Opel Astra A taxi, GE 1269-13. A second Opel Astra A, AS 9643-13, subsequently crashed into the first taxi, causing damage to all three vehicles.

Mr Ofori Apronti, Assembly Member for the area, expressed concern about the alleged overloading of taxis operating on the route, saying it could affect drivers’ ability to manoeuvre during emergencies.
He urged commercial drivers to exercise caution, avoid dangerous overtaking and adhere strictly to road safety regulations.
Reverend Sampson Agbemabiase, Head Pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, Sege, who witnessed the incident, alleged that the driver of the Toyota Corolla was speeding and overtaking dangerously.
