13 perish in Sege Highway crash, 5 critically injured

Thirteen (13) people have died in a fatal road traffic accident involving a Ford Transit and a Toyota Hiace on the Sege Highway on the Ada road.

The accident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, September 2, as the two vehicles were travelling from Sege towards Ada.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service, 18 people were involved in the crash, with 13 of them losing their lives.

Personnel from the Sege Fire Station responded to the incident and attended to the victims at the scene.

The five survivors, who sustained critical injuries, were transported to the Sege Polyclinic for medical treatment.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established, as authorities are expected to conduct further investigations into the incident.
