Gomashie Supports Ketu South Farmers with Fertilizer and Streetlights

The Member of Parliament for Ketu South Constituency and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has supported farmers in the municipality with 2,000 bags of 60kg fertilizer to help improve agricultural production.

The intervention also included the distribution of streetlights to communities across the municipality as part of efforts to improve visibility and security, particularly ahead of traditional festival celebrations.

Each of the three traditional areas in Ketu South received 100 bags of fertilizer and 10 boxes of streetlights for distribution within their respective communities.

The remaining fertilizer was allocated to farmers across the municipality, with each of the 41 wards receiving 15 bags, while each zone received 28 bags.

Speaking during the presentation, Madam Gomashie said the latest intervention was her second large-scale fertilizer distribution, following previous support to individual farmers.

She said her approach to development was guided by the principle, “Teach me how to fish but don’t just give me fish,” stressing that farming could provide skills, livelihoods and economic opportunities for families.
