Anloga DCE Engages Police Over Alleged Misconduct at Agorve Barrier

The Anloga District Chief Executive (DCE), Sandra Seyram Kpedor, has engaged a high-level delegation from the Volta Regional Police Command over allegations of misconduct by police officers deployed at the Agorve Barrier.

The engagement followed a petition presented to the DCE by the Assembly Member for the Avume Electoral Area, Hon. Kad Agboka, concerning the alleged conduct of police officers routinely stationed at the barrier.

According to the DCE, she, together with the District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Benjamin Asumani, received the delegation from the Regional Police Command to discuss the concerns raised.

She described the meeting as “fruitful and constructive,” saying it was aimed at addressing the issues raised and finding an appropriate way forward.

The engagement forms part of efforts to promote peace, security and effective policing within the Anloga District.

The DCE said the discussions were held in the interest of the residents and with the objective of ensuring that concerns surrounding the operations of security personnel at the Agorve Barrier are properly addressed.
